Volunteer Opportunities


We WELCOME volunteers!  Darrington Strong is one big family of volunteers and we think they are pretty special people!  There are several ways to volunteer, from working in the great outdoors to sitting at a desk, and we have volunteer jobs for people of all ages & abilities.  Sometimes we even volunteer with other organizations needing a little help.  Working together as a community we truly are Darrington Strong!


  • See a job that needs to get done?  Consider starting a committee and serving as the chairperson or suggest this volunteer position to the Board.
  • We are always looking for people to join an upcoming work party.  Friends For Public Use is always looking for more helping hands for their forest road work parties and Friends of North Mountain will be looking at restoring the North Mountain Lookout.
  • Sign up to help keep the highway coming into town clean!  We have adopted 4 miles of highway coming into town from Arlington.
  • Help with local events such as our spring event the Darrington Day Celebration and our winter Eagle Festival.  There is always a lot of behind the scenes work that needs to be done before an event happens.
  • Help keep our calendar updated.
