Dot City Park

Our youth planting spring bulbs at Dot's City Park

It's fun to go outside and play as a community
& it's even more fun to create something beautiful while doing it!  We think Dot City Park will become a gorgeous little park and even better something we can all be proud of!

Fall planting at Dot City Park

At this time we have raised money to cover the cost of planting 3,000 spring bulbs, several shrubs and 20 trees at our special little park!  Two of the Dogwood trees for the future Dogwood Grove are now planted, all of the Pymadils as a backdrop in front of the fence are now planted and our Star Magnolia, Katsura, Sweet Gum, Golden Pine and Sourwood trees will provide welcome shade in the future.  This spring we will be adding the beautiful colors of Hardy Phlox, Astilbe, Echinacea Litrias, Violets and more!

Hardy Phlox come to Dot City Park!

We would like to officially adopt Dot's City Park but we need enough volunteers to make this happen.  What does it say when a community adopts a park?
  • It says we care about our community!
  • It says we can all work together
  • It says we are living by example by making our community even better!
What are some ideas for the park so far?  As we do our volunteer work at the park we came up with some great ideas!
  • A sign that says "Dot's Community Park"
  • A bench for the adjoining bus stop
  • watering system
  • Dogwood tree grove
  • Butterfly garden
  • Picnic table and or benches
What have we done so far?
  • We're watering the park
  • Weeding
  • Pruning
  • Planted almost 3,000 flower bulbs, several shrubs, perennial flowers and trees.
Working together in partnership we can do anything!
